Thank you to all students, parents, families and friends that helped make this year another wonderful year in the band room at Warren High School. What's more exciting is what lies ahead. We have a great year planned for the band students and it is going to one to remember forever.

JULY 16th Second Tuition payment AND Handbook Pages
Our next rehearsal is on July 16th which is also the date that the following items must be turned in.

1. Second tuition payment of $200 is due. If you worked at the fireworks booth take off $50. If you signed up for decal drive take of $25. If you have now paid off all tuition, take another $25 off. SO NEW BALANCE DUE IS $100 if

3. you earned all three credits!
4. Last 3 pages of handbook need to be filled out completely and turned in this evening

Jazz Bands 2009-2010
Congratulations to the following students for being accepted into the jazz program at Warren High School. Due to the overwhelming amount of sax auditions, some students have not been selected to perform in one of the two jazz bands at Warren High School. I look forward to the interest continuing and hopefully everyone that has a strong desire to perform in jazz band will get that opportunity to be in jazz band at some point.

FIREWORKS BOOTH!
Please click the link below that says “Fireworks” to find more information about this year's fireworks booth. We still have some open shifts for parents to work. Students are encouraged to go help by holding signs, but cannot work in the booth. ALL FIREWORKS SHOULD BE IN BY NOW! Please do not turn in your money for your coupons at the booth. Contact Ramona Dominguez - Booster President to turn in money. You can email her at alxnmum@aol.com

SUMMER REHEARSALS!
Summer rehearsals are mandatory unless you are on vacation. YOU MUST CONTACT MR. NIEMEYER VIA EMAIL OR A PHONE CALL TO BE EXCUSED FROM A REHEARSAL!
The following is the “schedule of rehearsals” for all Thursdays
- 9am-Noon Leadership Meeting
_ 2pm-6pm Color Guard Practice
_ 2pm-5pm Drumline and New Band Students Practice
_ 6:30-8:30pm ALL band students practice (except pit)

The following are rehearsal dates for all Thursdays

BAND CAMP
Band Camp is mandatory for all band and color guard students. If you miss band camp, you will be “removed” from the roster. We feed all students during band camp so they do NOT need to go home for any reason.

Dates:
Monday - Friday August 16 - 20
Monday - Friday August 23 - 27

Times:
Noon - 2:30pm Field Rehearsal
2:30-3:00pm Snack
3:00-5:30pm Music/ Ensemble Rehearsal
5:30-6:15pm Dinner
6:15-6:30pm Inspiration
6:30-9:00pm Field Rehearsal

Proper Attire and Readiness:
1. Tennis, shorts, Proper T-Shirt, Socks, Warren Hat, Sunglasses
2. Sunscreen, personal water bottle with name
3. Instrument is in perfect working condition and with you at all times
4. Music in provided white binder and with you at all times
5. Drill card is around your neck at all times (we will provide you with this)
6. Music is practiced at home and ready to be rehearsed as a group.
7. Attitude is positive, willing and committed.

PLEASE HELP LOWER COSTS BY DONATING THE FOLLOWING ITEMS AT THE START OF BAND CAMP:
1. 2 cases of water per student (24 pack - any type of bottled water is fine)
2. 3 cases of Capri sun (or similar) juice drink.
